wrong configuration (smal 2-tiered) and are being upgraded to the proper size/configuration. *
Adding additional locker at HS (9th grade center) which were in the drawings but
not in the bid specs. * Additional storage space: 25x30 metal buildings at
HS (near football locker rooms), and at Herald & Wilson. About $17k each from
building fund.
16) Superintendents Report. -- Pat Herald reported
on the following topics: * A 7-person committee (headed by Janice Pollard,
and including teachers, administrators and a parent) will be interviewing for
the CHS principal position just vacated by Cory Slagle. It is hoped the position
can be filled at the June 29th board meet. * Lee Ann Due transfering to counselor's
role at Wilson (from Herald). Continuing interviews for her replacement at Herald. *

Ron Lewis has requested a move to JrHi director with Richard Newhart stepping
up to take over the HS band director's role. There will be some role & salary
adjustments but a great team remains in place. Newhart had been with the Collinsville
band program before leaving to head the program at Adair and returned to Collinsville
in August 2008. * State announced
1.46% cut in school budgets last week. Will find out soon if it is based on current
month or yearly numbers. * Activity fund corrections required dropped to only
two this year (2 hot checks) ... greatly reduced from previous years. * A proposal
for how to spend federal stimulus money available to Collinsville Schools was
made by Melodie Garrett and Julie Crutchfield. The proposal will likely be voted
on at the June 29th board meet: American

Announcements. * CEF Golf Tournament in 1 week * Bill
Rule's last board meet -- thanked for his service to Collinsville athletics. Bill
left with a parting comment that the final move to class 5A (football) would mark
the beginning of "Bad Times" (in terms of athletic financing & being
self-supporting) as Tulsa school fans typically don't "travel well"
and revenue from visiting schools would drop depending on the conference (likely
Metro Lakes). * Jon Coleman mentioned that the middle school policies had
been reviewed and the corporal punishment option had been removed. The penalties
for valdalism had been increased to include possible suspension.
