The Crimson Cadet Band had new "squiggles" on their hats and Carson held a flying H for CHS.
Catoosa had closed the score to 19-14 with a short pass interception return at 6:07 of the 3rd quarter. Collinsville gambled on 4th and 2nd at mid-field on their next possession with the Jarred Billups pass attempt from punt formation (above) not connecting. Catoosa got to the Cardinal 39 before the defense pushed them back and forced a 4th & 20 punt to the Card's 7 just before the end of the third quarter.
Kyle Rush got good yardage on this carry early in the 4th quarter.
Dalton Rasmussen made a remarkable catch of this long Lane Coulter pass early in the 4th quarter but the play was called back on a holding penalty.
Kyle Rush is out of view in this photo but he had just scored on a 4 yard run with clock at 8:58 in the 4th quarter. This was the completion of a 93 yard drive that started just vefore the end of the 3rd quarter. A 2-point pass attempt was incomplete for a 25-14 score.
Thomas Isam (#88) caught this pass just at the sideline and reached the 10 yard line. The drive ended with a Kyle Crutcher field goal below. The short drive started after Cody Kite forced a fumble on a punt play with Collinsville recovering at the Catoosa 34 with about 3 minutes left in the game.
The Catoosa 5 yard line was as close as the Cardinals could get on the final scoring drive with Kyle Rush (above), Lane Coulter and Dalton Salisbury carries after the Isam catch at the 10.
Kyle Crutcher kicked a short field goal to put the final score at 28-14.
The Cardinals next game is with Locust Grove here for Collinsville's Homecoming Oct. 3rd
