I hope to have more of these photos on the seniors' individual pages in May-- Ted
Kayli Chambers (#1) got the Lady Cardinals out to an early 1-0 lead over Metro Christian with this penalty kick at 35:06 in the first half.
Kyle Lee Smith (#4) headed this ball over the goalie and into the Metro net at 22:06 in the first half of the boys game. The referee signaled goal and it appeared the game was tied at 1-1. But, the officials then conferred and waived off the goal, possibly for a late offsides call?
Laura Castleberry was in net for the Lady Cards and made the stop on this Metro attempt.
The Collinsville girls were busy near the Metro net but managed only two goals while giving up four (1 in the first half and 3 in the last).
The Collinsville boys kept the Metro goalie busy in the evening game but managed only a single goal while giving up two. Tyler Chronister scored Collinsville's goal at 19:17 in the first half (no photo). Metro scored the winning goal with 2:23 left in the game.
George Tyler was in net for the Collinsville boys against Metro Christian here Friday.

So Close! -- Collinsville's boys got off this final shot with just about 10 seconds left in game. The shot hit the top post and deflected back into play but the Cardinals were not able to tie up the 1-2 game as the clock expired.
Another near miss -- Collinsville had this shot past the Metro goalie temporarily but apparently not far enough to get credit for a goal at 25:20 in the 2nd half and the score still tied 1-1. For full disclosure, Metro had three shots that bounced off the Collinsville goal posts.
Tyler Chronister (#5) tried this centering pass in 1st half action.
Tina Murr (#22) took the ball away from this Metro forward.
Rachel Nelson (#14 far right) sent this free kick toward the Metro net over a wall as her teammates tried to stay onside.
This photo was just seconds before the Collinsville girls' 2nd goal. The centering pass was missed by Ricci Smith (#11 above) but put in the net by Hillary Conyers (#9) out of view to the right. This goal got the Lady Cards within a goal at 2-3 at 12:13 in the 2nd half.
Heather Conyers (#18)
Zac VanNatta didn't let a broken leg (from practice Wednesday April 18th) keep him from senior night and the final home 2007 soccer game. He now has a metal rod in his right leg along with few screws and scars.
Zac VanNatta's season ended early but he was awarded a game ball by Coach Schubert Friday between the girls and boys games.
George Tyler made the stop on this Metro Christian shot in the 2nd half.
