Kevin
Phillips (#4) chases down a Catoosa hit in right field during the 2nd inning
of the first game.
Collinsville
Athletic Director Bill Rule presented the Regional Championship Plaque to the
Cardinals after they eliminated Catoosa in the 2nd game Satuday May 7th.
Pitcher
Eric Sirmon (#17) fielded this bunt and threw out the Catoosa runner in the
4th inning of the first game.
Brandon
George (#6) beat the tag and scored in the 6th inning of the first game on David
Chester's RBI single getting the Cards within 2 at 6-8.
Kevin
Phillips lead off the 7th inning of the first game with a solo home getting
the Cards within 1 at 7-8. Trying to get another run in the 7th, Tyler Nair
(#11) lays down a sacrifice bunt (above) to advance Brad Aguillard who had singled.
Branden George was hit by a pitch giving Collinsville 2 on with 2 out but they
were left stranded and forcing a second game.
Jimmy
West (#10) pitched the 5th-6th innings of the first game (giving up no runs).
West then started the second game pitching into the 2nd inning. Above, he and
catcher Ryan Coe watch second baseman Jonathan Beweley tag out the Catoosa runner
trying to steal second (with Coe's throw) in the 1st inning of game 2.
Both
sets of coaches were busy moving pitchers and fielders around in both games.
Card's scorekeeper Jayme Howard confers with the umpire to try and keep it all
straight.
This
bird (and a few others) were not much bothered by the games as they buzzed the
field and landed several times in front of the Cardinal dugout.

Treibt moved to the mound in the second game (2nd inning) and West moved to
3rd base.
