Collinsville Headed To
4A State Tournament

Just one of the many key plays helping to send the Collinsville Baseball Cardinals to State -- Chris Treibt's throw from right field nailed this Catoosa base runner who tried to advance from 1st to 3rd in the last inning of the final game. Josh Walker applied the tag at 3rd base for the 2nd out with the Card up by just a single run.
Catoosa's 6 run 2nd inning in the first game Saturday was more than the Cards could overcome with Catoosa wining the first game 7-8.
In the second game Collinsville jumped out to the 6-0 1st inning lead and held off Catoosa for a 6-5 win and the 4A Regional Championship.

Brad Aguillard (#2) had the big hit of the second game with a 3 run double in the 1st inning. That brought the score to 5-0 for the Cards at that point. The photo to the right shows Brad on a pitch before the double. In the photo below Brad is on his way to 2nd base.

1st inning base runners resulted from: Beweley walk, West double, Walker walk, Phillips hit by pitch, Treibt hit by pitch, Aguillard double, and Nair single.
Josh Walker started the first game on the mound but didn't make it out of the 2nd inning.

Chris Treibt (#13) came in to pitch with 1 out in the 2nd inning of the first game and the Cards down 2-4. A single scored two more Catoosa runs before Collinsville could get out of the inning. Treibt held Catoosa scoreless in the third but gave up a run in the 4th on a double.
