Larry Shafer --2/3/2020

Tonight the Collinsville Board of Commissioners approved the contract for the new - not refurbished - water-treatment plant to be completed Summer of 2021. The current water-treatment plant was built in 1979 and refurbished in 2001.

The new plant will be able to handle a higher volume, be more automated/mechanized, and have a life of approximately 40 years. Thanks to City Manager Pam Polk, Asst. City Manager of Operations Craig Stokes and their staffs for all their work on this project so far.

Note: I did not attend so only have this Larry Shafer Facebook post for partial results -- Ted
