| New crosswalk paint and solar powered flashing signal poles have been added recently to the new sidewalks as part of the City's "Safe Routes to Schools" grant project. The project covered both sides of 14th Street from Center to Broadway near the Middle School and on 129th E. Ave. near the elementaries south of town (ECC, Herald and CUE). Now if drivers will just obey state law (& common sense) and stop for students and any other pedistrian in crosswalks we will all be safer. There is a button on each pole to start the flashing light for crossing. | ||||
