CARDINAL
FOOTBALL -- Jr. High Update (Glenpool) 9-20-17
The Collinsville
Cardinals hosted the Glenpool Warriors Tuesday night in a Metro
Lakes Conference contest at Sallee Field. The Glenpool Warriors
are the newest member to the Metro Lakes 5A Conference. The community
of Glenpool is one of the fastest growing communities in northeastern
Oklahoma.
Talk about exciting finishes, the 7th grade game was full of fun
and excitement. The Warriors score with seconds left on the clock
on a rugby style play, to tie the score 6-6. Going into overtime,
the Cardinals score and make the P.A.T. going up 14-6. With 4
downs to score the Warriors cannot punch it in and the Cardinals
win 14-6. No injuries were reported. The Cardinals improve their
record to 3-1.
The 8th grade Cardinals continue to improve each week. This bunch
of players are fun to coach. The Cardinals dominated every phase
of the game and played smash mouth football all night long. Cardinals
win 23-8. No injuries were reported. The Cardinals improve their
record to 4-0.
In the 9th grade contest the Boys of Fall played with
tenacity all night long. The Cardinals were just too much for
the Warriors and win a big one 35-18. No injuries were reported.
The Cardinals improve their record to 4-0.
A big thank you to the Chain Crews for their volunteer work with
each game. Also after each game last night the RED ZONE fed the
players hot dogs and chips. Thanks for the treat.
The cheerleaders gave an outstanding performance at each halftime
last night. Also rumor has it that on October 5th the Collinsville
Jr. Cadets will perform.
Our next action will be Tuesday September 26th at Pryor. Games
begin at 5pm.Hope to see the Cardinal Family in full support of
our teams.

Football -- Jr. High Update (Tahlequah) -- 9-15-17
The
Collinsville Cardinals 7th, 8th, and 9th grade football
teams traveled to Tahlequah Thursday night for a Metro
Lakes Conference showdown. The Tigers certainly passed
the eye test before each contest with their large lineman
and big backs. With all the favorable odds for the Tigers,
the Collinsville Cardinals flew in on a mission to give
the Eye of the Tiger a black eye.
7th grade Cardinals win big 21-6. No injuries were reported.
8th grade Cardinals dominate 36-6. No injuries were reported.
9th grade Cardinals soar 23-0. No injuries were reported.
We would want to thank our Quarterback Club for the meal
they provided each player. It sure made the trip a lot
more comfortable. Speaking of comfort, our players traveled
to Tahlequah on air conditioned buses. What a treat! Thanks
to our great transportation department.
Our next game will be on Tuesday of next week. We will
play the newest addition of the Metro Lakes Conference,
the Glenpool Warriors. We play at Sallee Field and games
begin at 5:00. Please come out and show your support and
display positive sportsmanship.
Well, No Pass No Play, has kicked in to effect. The Oklahoma
Secondary Schools Activities Association introduced the
ruling back in the late 80s. The rule reads:
A student must be passing in all subjects he/she is enrolled
in during a semester. If a student is not passing all
subjects enrolled in on the day of the grade check, he/she
will be placed on probation for the next one-week period.
If a student is still failing one or more classes during
the next week on the grade check day, he/she will be ineligible
to participate during the next one-week period. The ineligibility
periods will begin on Monday and end on Sunday.
