| A former grassed
and curbed area just east of the middle school gym (which was used
by some for parking for years anyway) is now an official easy access
asphalt parking area (at 14th near Center St.), since mid-September
2017. |

| Air Conditioning

| Another improvement
at the Middle School Gym is air conditioning units relocated after
the high school renovations a few years back. Superintendent Lance
West cautioned it will be "cooler" but not cold. There
were also other significant improvements in the wrestling area made
over the summer that I hope to get photos for later. -- Ted |

| Snook Bayouth
reports a new business will be located soon in the back of his building
(near 11th and Main) where Philly's Cheesteak had been for several
years until earlier this year. |

| City Plaza
Still Forming |

| The "jury
is still out" but I'm not impressed with early results for
improved drainage at the city plaza where downpour overflow has
occasionally made it's way into the Chamber/CDI office just to the
west at 12th and Main in recent years. |

Halloween activities will start at the Veterans Building with the
plaza unavailable. |
