All persons interested in attending the Regular Meeting School Board
for Collinsville Public Schools, Independent District I-6, should
make plans to attend the meeting at the above date.
NOTE: The Board of Education may discuss, vote to approve, vote to
disapprove, vote to table or decide not to vote on any item on this
agenda.
1. Call to Order and Roll Call of Members

3. Request to Address the Board. -- none
4. Recognition of the Award Winning Collinsville Cardinal Crimson
Cadets.
-- After viewing a video of the band's St. Louis
BOA Exhibition performamce (and before voting to call an election
for bonds to build a new band room) the Collinsville School Board
posed with the many band members who attended the start of the school
board meeting Monday. Band Director Rod
Mackey thanked the board and boosters for their support as well as
the band kids for their hard work and believing in the directors
5. Consent Agenda: Discussion and Vote to Approve Items a-h of the
Consent Agenda.
-- a. Approval of the 10/9/2017 Regular Board Meeting Minutes.
-- b. Approval of Purchase Orders and Payment of Purchase Order- FY
2017 and 2018 General and Building Funds, All District Funds- Approval
of Budgets , Reports, Allocations and Investments
-- c. Approval of the Activity Fund Fundraisers as Attached.
-- d. Approval of the Negotiations for Certified Teachers for the
2017-2018 School Year.
-- e. Approval of Adjunct Teacher Brittany Scott -HS Geology

-- g. Approval of Sanctioning of the Soccer Striker Club for 2017-2018.

Presentation by KKT Architects and Brewer Construction. --
Drawings and plans have been updated since the last presentation and
after favorable review by the board, will continue refinement (and
start a video to help support the election process) ... for additional
classrooms at the CUE and high school, in addition to a new band and
ag facilities at the high school. (see item 8 for action).
7. Board to consider and take possible action, in the absence of the
President and/or Clerk, to appoint an acting President and/or acting
Clerk for the School District to execute any and all documents pertaining
to the calling of a special election to authorize general obligation
bonds. -- n/a with all members present
8. Board to consider and take action on a resolution authorizing the
calling and holding of a special election to be held in this School
District to authorize the issuance of general obligation bonds. --
Approved, calling a Feb. 13, 2018 school election on a $7.5 million
bond for construction of the school facilities presented in item 6
above. Construction could start as soon as kids out in May 2018.
9. Discussion and Vote to Approve the Election Resolution for Seat
#3. -- Approved, Wendell Johnson's board seat
is up for another 5 year term. Wendell indicated a likelyhood he would
retire rather than re-file, but left the door slightly open to change
his mind. The filing periord will be Dec. 4-6.
10. Building Site Reports -- Tabled ... for
time consideration ... after band video & architect presentation
11. Proposed Executive Session to Discuss Resignations, Dismissals,
and Hiring of Personnel Pursuant to 25-OS ss 307(B)(1) of the Open
Meeting Law.

27 for last years tests -- new tests in April - claiming to have results
later same month

18. Superintendent's Report -- Lance West Reported
on these topics:
* LED light retrofit -- Bridgeport estimate higher than expected for
atletic fields ($750K total) .. will llikely just
do classrooms initiakky (except the new CUE) for $209K
* Working on easement agreement for property by Sallee development
(near proposed Band/Ag buildings) ... see new business
* The high school parking lot is now lit at night
* some middle school roof repair next week
* City accepted bid for Safe Routes To School project (sidewalks &
crosswalks by MS & Elem)

at several campuses
20. New Business -- Approved a commitment letter
to city on possible easement for developer (Sallee property)
