Collinsville Police Chief Richey cited several local and national examples of workplace violence and said it can occur anywhere ... even Collinsville, Oklahoma. And it can occur at any work place ...not just a bank or convenience store. He suggested all business owners be aware and teach aware. He recommended each business have a plan for any disaster ... including a rally point to make sure all got out safely. He also suggested alarm systems and even self defense courses as some of the many tools for unexpected emergencies or attacks. |
The
Chief stated in his 30 years in law enforcement he has not fired his
service revolver in the line of duty. He also noted Collinsville has
had body cameras in use here since 2011.
