The 2017 CCC Band was on Sallee Field for a morning practice July 19th.

Many things have changed since this 2002 photo (almost 15 years ago) of the Collinsville Crimson Cadet Band in their familar wooden bleachers in the south end zone at Sallee Field. The grass turf has been replaced with artifical turf (twice). Lonnie Fuller is no longer director and my daughter (Emily) is no longer on the drum major stand. The unifroms have been upgraded twice. Hundreds of band students have taken their turn supporting the CHS football Cardinals from the wooden seats in that end zone. A net was added to keep football (& soccer) balls out of those stands.
-- BUT this summer after many splinters and replaced wooden boards the band stand has been upgraded to all metal seating which the 2017 band students will try out at the first home game August 25th when East Central arrives for football.

Jackson Due (along with Max and Sam West) removed the old wooden boards and bolts in May to allow the new metal seats and flooring to be added to the existing frame (saving cost over a totally new structure).

We are asking each family to make a donation toward the 3rd quarter snacks/water provided during football season.

Due to very limited storage space, we are asking for Wal-Mart gift cards/cash in order to purchase water/snacks on a weekly basis, as needed.

However, we also gladly accept donations of:

cases of bottled water (all sizes)

individually packaged snacks (no chocolate or anything that will melt)

Looking forward to another great year with the Collinsville Crimson Cadets!
