-- Nikki Robertson 2016-2017 Band Booster Secretary (8/1/2016) |
Last June (2015) the Collinsville Crimson Cadet Band gathered to "Meet the Directors". This year (2016) they already know their directors well, but had a similar looking informal activity to provide information to the students and parents on the upcoming marching season. Mr. Mackey says the program will have a "Spanish" theme but has not been titled yet. The band boosters reported thay they had "paid for" 4 new band uniforms with the annual garage sale earlier that day. The band also collected bottled water and snacks to help keep the band members hydrated and fed at all of the footbal games and marching contests. They got a start on that stockpile (see photo above) but need much more for the expanding band (not all were present in this photo). They ended the evening with an "Ultimate Frisbee" competition.

The band boosters will be adding volleyball, basketball, wrestling concessions this year to their exising concessions at home football games (HS & elementary). They split proceedswith the athletic department.
