Collinsville Schools lost two great men within a 24 hour period. Craig Creech and Louis Keith left this Earth and now reside in Heaven. I had the pleasure to work closely with both of these gentlemen for many years and know that their families are in need of our prayers today. Words can`t express the influence these guys had on me and the gratitude so many of us have for them. Our loss is truly Heaven`s gain. Rest in peace my good friends. -- Terry Due 3/3/2016
Craig Creech was a former teacher and administrator for Collinsville for over 20 years, beginning here in 1979. He was a Industrial Arts teacher and then Assistant Superintendent for Pat Herald. I had the opportunity, honor, and privilege to know Craig, both as a "boss" and as a friend. Craig was probably one of the most intelligent individuals I have ever known. Many times over the past, I have called Craig to get his thoughts on building projects, various laws and statutes, construction bids, etc. He was always more than willing to help in any way he could. Craig's contributions to this district and this community were invaluable and "live on" throughout our schools.
Craig had been battling cancer as well as several other ailments for the past few years. Knowing him, he battled it with incredible courage, determination, and resilience, all the time enjoying his time with the love of his life, Margaret (his wonderful wife of many years) and his three boys and their children. In fact, whenever we did talk, he never said one thing about his health and just bragged on his family. Those of you that know Craig, know that he faced this with dignity and tried to live through it selflessly, striving to shield his loved ones from as much stress and worry as possible. He was a blessed man with a phenomenal family support system, especially in the tough last few months of his life...he will be truly missed. Craig will be laid to rest at the Maple Grove Cemetery (1000 W. Strother Ave.) in Seminole, Oklahoma on Monday (March 7th) at 2:00 p.m. The family has asked that if you'd like to reach out to Mrs. Creech and the family, please do so by emailing her at creechathome@sbcglobal.com at this time.
