Cardinal
Football -- Jr. High Update -- 9-10-15
The quest
for the Metro Lakes Conference Championship began this past Thursday
night at Sallee Field. There was plenty of excitement and anticipation
as the 8th and 9th grade Cardinals had to rise to the occasion
to defend their 2014 titles.
In the 7th grade game, Coweta had 55 players on the sideline.
The depth and talent of the Tigers was too over-powering for the
Cardinals as the Tigers win 27-0
No injuries were reported.
In the 8th and 9th grade games the Cardinals gave the Eye
of the Tiger a black eye. Each phase of the game, offense,
defense and the kicking game were too much for the Tigers as the
Cardinals continue to defend their conference titles.
8th grade
win 30-7. No injuries were reported
9th grade win 28-8. No injuries were reported.
After each
game the players were feed a delicious meal prepared by A Glorious
Church located in Collinsville. We want to thanks the members
of this church for their support of our team.
It is a great
feeling to see all the support the Cardinal Nation gives to our
players. They include the cheerleaders, chain crews, press box
staff, fans and parents. Our teachers do an excellent job providing
the student-athlete with the tools they will need to be successful
in the classroom.
Parents I
do not allow players to receive drinks of any kind from the bleachers.
We provide plenty of water for your son to drink.
Our next action
will be a Metro Lakes Conference battle at Claremore. The games
will be next Thursday, September 17th at 5:00pm. Hope to see you
there.
