Collinsvilled Freshman Are Undefeated Conference Champs
8th Lost In Final Seconds
7th Grade Loss To Bulldogs
Collinsville 7th Graders were trailing Skiatook 7-20 with 4 minutes left.
Collinsville 8th Graders lost 26-27 thriller with Skiatook scoring with just 21 seconds left.
Collinsville 9th Graders remained undefeated and conference champs with a 3-0 win.
The Collinsville 8th Grade Band (with an assist from several high school band members) entertained for the 7th & 8th grade football games here Thursday evening at Sallee Field.
This Skiatook 7th grader did a flip in front of the Collinsville bench as he was forced out of bounds.

All of the 8th graders lined up as honorary captains for their final game.
Cole Kuykendall (#10) intercepted this Skiatook pass on the first play from scrimmage in the 8th grade game.
Caleb Tanner (#2) scored on a 16 yard pass play from Cole Dugger at 4:28 in the first quarter. The kick was low and the 8th grade Cards were up 6-0.

Cole Dugger (#8) is barely visible at the bottom of the pile with his arm and the ball just into the endzone from 1 yard out with 5:21 left in the 2nd quarter and a 12-8 lead after the kick was wide.
Skiatook and Collinsville 8th graders kept trading the lead all evening and after the Bulldogs scored with 1:29 left in the 2nd quarter at least 9 Cardinals were beyond their blockers to rush this extra point attempt which was short to keep the score 12-14.

Cole Kuykendall (#10) ended the first half just like he started ... with an interception ... protecting Collinsville's 18-14 lead which was gained on a 4 yard Caleb Tanner TD with 14.4 seconds left in the 2nd quarter.

In the eighth grade second half Collinsville drove to the 14 before losing a fumble with 2:28 left in the 3rd quarter. A Skiatook 1 yard run (and a blocked extra point) had the Bulldogs up 18-20 with 6:39 left in the game. Cole Dugger scored from inches out with 2:45 left in the game and Ethan Cole's extra point kick gave Collinsville a 6 point lead. Skiatook drove down to score on a 4 yard TD pass with 20.9 seconds left in the game and passed for an extra point and the win at 26-27.
To complement the 7th and 8th grade games having a rare band appearance in the JrHi stands ... the freshman cheerleaders made a rare mid-week appearance to cheer their 9th grade classmates ...before their normal varsity Friday cheer duties.
Seth Wiser (#14) provided the only points in the freshman game with this field goal just 2.4 seconds before half time. The line of scrimmage was the 9 yard line.

The Freshman Cardinals celebrated their back to back undefeated seasons and Metro Lakes conference championship after holding Skiatook on downs late in the game for a 3-0 win. Skiatook also came into the game without a loss.
"Hungry Hippo" fun at the middle school pep assembly Thursday afternoon.
Band Director Bob Early (along with the 8th grade band and JrHi cheerleaders) helped fire up the students and football team before Thursday's season ending games.
