City Attorney Ken Underwood (left) swore in new Collinsville Mayor Bud York and City Commissioner Jerry Garrett Monday May 5, 2014.
Former Mayor Herb Weaver (left) received an appreciation plaque from the City of Collinsville presented by new Mayor Bud York. Weaver served a 2 year term from May 2012 to May 2014.
Former City Commissioner Dee Sink (left) received an appreciation plaque from the City of Collinsville presented by Mayor Bud York. Sink served a 4 year term from May 2010 to May 2014.
Commissioner Garrett took over the Ward 4 position of Dee Sink. The Ward 2 position vacated by Mayor York will be empty pending an appointment by the new commission. Applications are due by May 13th.

5. Consideration and possible action relating to a request for Commission approval of the Consent agenda. All matters listed under “Consent” are considered by the City Commission to be routine and will be enacted by one motion. Any Commissioner may, however, remove an item from the Consent Agenda by request. A motion to adopt the Consent Agenda is non-debatable.

--A. Approval of April # 2 Payroll in the amount of $42,564.06.
--B. Approval of May # 1 Payroll in the amount of $45,781.81.
--C. Approval of Claims in the amount of $22,684.85.
--D. Approval of Minutes from April 21, 2014 Regular Meeting.

6. Discussion and possible action concerning items removed from the Consent Agenda.

7. Discussion and possible action to use 2009 Bond Funds to pay for:

--* Installation of Play Equipment at City Park in the amount of $8,872.50.
--* Installation of Shade Features over benches at City Park in the amount of $14,590.80.
-- Approved

8. City Manager’s Report. -- Pam Polk reported on these topics:
* Saturday May 10th activities on the City Plaza (St. Theresa plant sale and free flea dip)
* Tulsa County CDBG grant (again) to help fund drainage (~$73K) by postoffice
Had ~75 volunteers for Great American Cleanup last week ... adults and students at city park, community gardens (where 20 raised beds are in use) and downtown.
* Cherokee Moonlight Run is June 6th.

Taking Applications for Ward 2 Commissioner Position

The City of Collinsville is seeking qualified individuals to serve as City Commissioner for Ward 2. The position is being vacated by newly elected Mayor Bud York. Two years remain of the four year term. Statutorily qualified individuals interested in serving may contact City Clerk Angela McGinnis at (918) 371-1010 extension 2013. Application deadline is Tuesday, May 13.
