Oklahoma Quiz Bowl All-Star
Cannon Vogel
One Of Six Representing Oklahoma At National Competition This Summer
Cannon Vogel, senior at CHS, has earned a position on Team Oklahoma, the All-Star Quiz Bowl team for the state of Oklahoma! He will join 5 other students from across Oklahoma to represent our state at the National Tournament of Academic Excellence in Orlando, Florida in June.

NTAE is the only national tournament with a strong emphasis on higher mathematics, physics and chemistry using computations requiring knowledge and speed. Team Oklahoma is sponsored by the Oklahoma Association for Academic Competition.

To earn his place on the team, Cannon went through three rounds of try-outs against students from schools all across the state, including public and private of all classifications. First,he completed an online, timed general knowledge test covering all areas of curriculum. For the second round, he completed 5 additional timed tests covering separate subject-specific content. For the final phase of try-outs, the top 26 students were invited to Oklahoma City for a live buzzer-round try-out on Sunday, Nov. 7.

Cannon competed hard and earned one of the six positions on the elite Team Oklahoma!
