The Lady Cardinal BB team started the game with an 18-8 1st qrt run and never looked back in the Championship game vs Class 6A Stillwater at Bixby on Sat. Taylor O'Dell and Mallory Vaughn were selected to the All Tournament team and Vaughn was named tournament MVP. O'Dell put in 13 pts in the Championship game and had 32 total for the tournament while Vaughn totaled 31 pts for the tournament with 17 in the Championship game. Maddy Vaughn contributed 10 pts vs Stillwater and Brittney Kickapoo added 7. Saywer Salisbury was given tough job of shutting down Stillwater's big scoring threat and held her to just 1 pt in the second half. It was a great win for the Girls who won their first invitational tournament in recent years. -- Jim Riley 12/7/2014
CHS Boys Saturday -- The Collinsville Boys BB team beat Providence, Ark 55-37 in the Coweta Tournament to win their second game this week. Cardinal Austin Archer lead the offensive outburst with 21 pts, Seth Boomer added 14 and Shawn Koscheski put in 12 pts. Seth Boomer was selected to the All Tournament team as he had 19 pts in an opening round loss to Rogers, Ark. The Cardinals will continue play on Tuesday at Coweta. CHS Girls Friday -vs- Owasso
-- Girls BB Team Advances to Finals Of Bixby Tournament with 4th Qrt Run
Basketball is a game of runs and the Lady Cards saved their big run for the 4th qrt against Owassa in the semi-finals of the Bixby Tournament Friday. Trailing 16-10 after 1 qrt, 32-26 at half and 43-37 after 3, Collinsville went on a 17-5 run in the 4th qrt to take a hard fought 54-48 win over Owasso to advance to the Tournament finals on Sat at 5:30. Sawyer Salisbury, Dakota Jefferson and Taylor O'Dell started the 4th qrt onslaught by draining 3 straight 3's giving the Cards their first lead since early in the 1st qrt. O'Dell had 9 of the Cardinal 17 4th qrt points. Mallory Vaughn had 4 big blocks to contribute on the defensive end during the 4th qrt beatdown. Collinsville will play Stillwater in the finals.

CHS Boys Basketball at Coweta Tournament -- Friday
The Cardinal Boys BB bskbl team lost 68-54 to Tulsa Central in the Coweta Tournament Friday night. Against a team that look more like UNLV than a high school team the Cards played tough defense and traded scores with Central through out the game. Collinsville is being competitive and fighting for 48 minutes. Coach Todd Anderson has the boys believing they can compete and they are showing that in each game. Seth Boomer had 19 pts, Autin Archer had 12 and Shawn Koscheski put in 8. The Cards play again today at 1:30. -- Jim Riley 12/6/2013
