Hannah's Helping Hands, Inc. — Our Mission
We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization providing financial assistance to families with children battling cancer. Many families need help with the most basic needs for their families during this fight for their child’s life. Some must leave work for months and even years to care for their sick child and the financial loss can be devastating. Our goal is to help as many families being treated locally as possible. We help with basic needs such as gas & food cards, groceries, wigs, utility payments, prescriptions, medical co-payments, rent/housing as well as other expenses. Our referrals come from doctors, nurses and staff at a local children’s hospital in Tulsa as well as our local communities.

CHS Academic Team 5th At "Brain Bowl"
The Collinsville High School Academic Team placed 5th out of 16 teams at the Connors State Brain Bowl on Thursday, Nov. 7. This was a NAQT (National Academic Quiz Tournament) event which included all classifications A - 6A in double elimination play. We lost in round one to Stigler, then advanced through the next several rounds defeating Wagoner, Muldrow, Sallisaw, and Stigler before being eliminated by Muldrow. This was a great showing for us and I am very proud of our team's performance and sportsmanship.

In OSSAA play, there will not be a Regional Tournament for Class 5A because there are not enough 5A schools with academic teams; we will automatically advance to Area Tournament in January (seeding based on our third place finish in district) and the top two teams from there will advance to State in February.

Ted,
Can you please post the link to the K95 cheer contest. My 2 nieces, Loren and McKenzie Park, from Skiatook, cheered with Mallory Winegarten. They were at the studio the morning of her car accident where she performed her last cheer on the air. The Skiatook cheerleaders deserve to win this contest. Vote as many times as you want. Voting ends this Friday! -- Missy DeLozier (11/11/2013)

Seasons Transitioning (& the Weather Also) .. and cvilleok photos available
It typically takes me from mid-August to almost November before I can get a team photo and game photos for all the fall football, cheer, volleyball, softball, cross country, band, and academic teams. I know there were some fall soccer teams that I never received any information for so they were not covered. I will soon be working off the long list of "school" basketball teams (7th-12th). The elementary teams that get coverage are the ones that either send me a schedule of when they are playing at home or send me a team photo and roster. And then there will be wrestling, soccer, baseball, track, ... etc. -- Ted Wright -- Nov. 12, 2013

New cvilleok Photo Policy: I will provide a free copy of the photos taken of the game (for elementary teams) or partial season (for JrHi & CHS teams) to the head coach as soon as I can. Elementary coaches need to contact me as I don't have contact info. CHS volleyball, softball and cross country coaches already have their photos from me for the 2013 season. I will leave it up to each coach to either sell or give away those photos to the parents/students for their team (either directly or through their booster club). The photos are un-edited so indoor/night photos will often be in need of editing for brightness adjustments. In some cases there are few enough that the photos fit on a CD ... in some cases a thumb drive would be more convenient. For cheer and band, their photos are embedded in the football photos ... but can eventually be extracted when I finish my archiving process. I don't have the details worked out with the coaches yet but contact them first if you are wanting photos of your group. I might still help out the coach/boosters by provding additional copies but do not want to be the direct interface to the public for all those teams/families. There is just not time. I will ignore requests from individuals (except coaches and booster club reps).

I still have not decided if I will attempt customized (individual) student CDs for this school year or not. I am hoping the by-sports photos above will make more photos available to more folks and be less work for everyone.
