Ted, -- Here a couple updates from the varsity baseball team. -- Laurie Sherwood -- Sat. 3/9/2013

The Cards fought back from 6-1 deficit against Booker T. Washington to take the lead with a 9 run fifth inning. However, Cardinals were behind 13-12 after six innings when the game was called on account of darkness. The last inning will be rescheduled later in the season.

The Cards beat Skiatook today by a score of 2-1. Tyler Sherwood threw 6 strong innings and Craig Blevins retired the Bulldogs in the seventh inning for the save. The next game will be in Coweta on Monday. Then the Cardinals return home on Tuesday as Coweta comes to Pat Colpitt field.

Sunlight generally allows better quality sports photos ... but I also enjoy the unique (non-flash) night-time photos that show a bit more "action" in a still photo. -- Ted
Collinsville had this BTW baserunner in a run down (between 3rd base and home) but let him off the hook and he eventually scored on an obstruction call as his path was apparently blocked by a player without the ball.
