Cora Udilla (Webb) Keith -101

Born February 19, 1912 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to William Henry Webb and Florence (Fowler) Webb, her family moved to Collinsville in 1926 where she was a lifelong resident until her death on June 16, 2013.

She graduated from Collinsville High School in 1930, married Raymond Morrow Keith in 1931, and they raised four children. Ima Jean Keith Goodfellow, Raymond Henry Keith, Carolyn Ann Keith Smith, and Felix Eugene Keith.

Cora was a member of the Collinsville Community Church and Collinsville Chapter of the Eastern Star, and other civic organizations such as the Farm Women's Club, later known as the County Extension Club.

Upon Raymond's retirement from American Airlines in 1974, they had time to travel to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Acapulco, and New York City.

Udilla, as she was known to her friends and family, was preceded in death by her husband Raymond, sister Leonteen Sluder, brothers Gordon Webb, Bill Webb, Jack Webb and Don Webb. Also daughter Ima Jean Keith Goodfellow and son Raymond Henry Keith and grandson Raymond Henry Keith Jr.

Udilla leaves behind two children, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Udilla learned her skill of taking care of small children at a young age. She had four younger brothers she cared for in the house above her parents grocery store. Those skills made her the best grandma in the eyes of her grandchildren and great grands. Her fresh popcorn, hot cocoa, ice cream, and a lot of cookies was a sure fire recipe for managing young brothers and later young grandchildren.

Set backs come to everyone in life, but Udilla would quickly find a positive point by saying "well, it could have been worse." So you immediately knew you were going to be okay, because mom said so! She knew the right words to make you feel better.

Mom always had a wonderful sense of humor and a sharp mind, even about approaching her 100th birthday. She really had a lot of fun when her life insurance sent her a check for the policy two weeks before her 100th birthday. She had out lived the actuary on the policy. She passed the "GO" in "Monopoly of Life" and got the cash prize.
