Wet Summer Ahead
The splash pad at Collinsville City Park was opened for the summer starting May 23, 2012. This is the third summer for the popular park attraction with the first opening July 6, 2010 and the second May 21, 2011.

One Herald Elementary student was already celebating summer break with a basketball Thursday as students headed to the busses and cars for the final time this school year. Herald Elementary Principal Arlin Stacy thanked School Transportation Director Louis Keith for getting the district's bus riding kids to and from school for one last time until August.

Main Street / S-Curve Project Changes
Another layer of asphalt was being applied on the southern most future lane of Main Street (Highway 20) Monday morning May 7th. Traffic was reduced to a single lane between 14th and 15th until about 10am. The asphalt application was continuing westward also. -- Ted 10:20am 5/7/2012 -- (Previous Coverage)
