CHS Book Fair Success |
Thank you everyone
who helped make the Book Fair a success. As of Friday afternoon I am at
$1,862.17 in total sales! I will be open today, Monday, for a little while
before I begin packing everything back up so if you didn't get in last
week you can still make a last minute purchase! If you asked me to hold
something for you, it is still waiting so please come by and complete
your purchase. If we have enough in sales today to hit $2,000 total, then
our percentage increases to 50% plus a $100 bonus! That would give us
$1100 to spend on materials for the library! Thanks, Lynn Gowler (12/3/2012) |

Dustin Burch, Michaela

FFA attended the Roland Leadership Conference on November 27th. Our members
learned about leadership through workshops, and speeches from our state
FFA representatives. State FFA President Brandon Baumgarten held a workshop
on peer pressure. This workshop focused on how there is a good and a bad
peer pressure. Good peer pressure is joking with your friends and bad
peer pressure is making someone feel insecure. Central Vice- President
Annie Jo Gilbert held a workshop on what is leadership. Leadership
comes in many different forms; you could be a politician or you could
be a big brother/ sister. It just depends on what type of leader you are
and how you use the power of being a leader to influence other people.
Kaylen Baker the state FFA reporter hosted a workshop called what
are speeches? In this workshop she helped give tips on how to write,
prepare and memorize your speech. Kyle Hilbert the Northeast district
Vice President did his workshop on decision making. He said
that indecision is always the worst decision. I think that these leadership
conferences are great because they truly do help us connect with other
people and grow within ourselves so that we can become great leaders.

Health News Highlights: |
I've been trying
to spread the word because I want everyone to know that Reasor's
has a free antibiotic program (for adults and kids.) It has
nothing to do with insurance (they don't even ask if you have it) and
you don't have to qualify in any way. They have made the most common antibiotics
available at no charge. They also have free prenatal vitamins and children's
vitamins. All you have to have is a prescription. Even if you have small
copay, free is better!! Here is the link. www.reasors.com/healthwell/pharmacy/free-vitamins-antibiotics.php
