Humming Bird/Insect? |
I finally got a good photo of what I had assumed was a small hummingbird that has been a frequent visitor in my backyard this summer. It's now clear that it's not a bird, but some type of insect instead. The wings are constantly flapping at high speed like a humming bird but now that I have a still view it has more butterfly like features. Anyone have a name for this creature? -- Ted Wright (wrightted@aol.com) |
Ted,
That's a hummingbird moth. We have quite a few visiting our flowers. Todd Gillispie |
