Representative Club Meeting
|
Collinsville's Home
Representative Club met October 5 at the Library, with Lynn Tyler as guest
speaker. Author of "A Child of God," Ms. Tyler's book is filled
with life's lessons she has learned along the way, plus her "Pearls
of Wisdom" - encouraging messages for women of any age. The seventeen HRC members in attendance also discussed plans for their various scholarships, and announced that the November meeting will be a White Elephant fundraising sale to benefit Newborns In Need. The meeting was hosted by Carolyn Brinkley and Kitty Thomas. -Submitted by Linda Pfeffer (10/23/2010) |

The Collinsville
Patchworkers met October 10, and shared a lively "show and tell"
session. Items were collected for the group's charity "Newborns In
Need;" plans were made for the Christmas party in December; and Janice
Coke gave an informative program that included uses for various tools
and rulers. Members also met the following Saturday for the monthly "Sew-In," working on individual projects and enjoying a pot luck lunch. The next Patchworkers meeting will be November 9 at the Collinsville Library - newcomers are always welcome, whether they are "newbies" to the world of quilting, or have years of experience! -- Submitted by Linda Pfeffer (10/23/2010) |
