Oklahoma Hustle Softball
These four Collinsville girls, Shannon Driggers, Kassidy Murphy, Angel Vaught and Kristina Shearer, played in a tournament over the weekend with their competitive team and came in 2nd. They play for the Oklahoma Hustle and all 4 girls had an AMAZING weekend on the field. Kristina threw out several girls (from behind the plate) that thought that they could steal on her. When she wasn't behind the plate she was either at short or 2nd and made some amazing plays there also. Angel caught 2 of the 3 games on Sunday and took a beating, but did a good job. The team coaches gave her the big trophy for player of the weekend for the hits that she took behind the plate and for the awesome bat that she had this weekend. These four girls are very excited about playing the game and playing with a new bunch of girls. They play again in a few weeks and then will take off for a few months before starting to get ready for the spring/summer season.

Coach Redding's CARDINAL FOOTBALL -- Jr. Hi Update -- October, 18th - 25th

Are you ready for some football!! Thursday night the 7th, 8th and 9th grade teams traveled to Skiatook for the Highway 20 “donnybrook”. The Thursday night party was at Skiatook but the Bulldogs had nothing to celebrate.
This week the team goal was to be able to run the sweep. That is exactly what the Cardinals accomplished. The Collinsville Cardinals swept the 3 game series in Classic fashion.
The night began with an overtime thriller. The Collinsville 7th grade (5-1) handed the Bulldogs their first lose of the season, 22-16 in 2O.T.
The Cardinals 8th grade (5-1), reminded fans that great defense wins big games. The 8th grade shut out the Bulldogs 16-0.
The Cardinals 9th grade (5-1) proved to be just too much for the Dogs. The running game, passing game and great defense of the Cardinals pounded the Bulldogs 28-0.
No injuries were reported.
It’s great to be a Cardinal!!

The 8th grade “Blue” team will travel to Skiatook on Monday. Game time is 5:30.
On Tuesday we host Catoosa for our final home contest of the 2010 season. The 3 game series kicks off at 5:00.
Then on October 25th we play our final game of the season at Oologah.

Practice schedule for the remainder of the season.

October 18th Red 3-4pm 8th grade Blue @ Skiatook 5:30
October 19th Catoosa (here) 5:00
October 20-22 Fall Break ( no practice )
October 25th @ Oologah 5pm
