These are just a portion of the CHS Seniors (& their family members) honored Friday at their final Sallee Field appearance. CHS football, cheer, band, softball, volleyball seniors were introduced. Individual photos I took Friday will appear on their graduate pages in May 2011. -- Ted
The CHS Cheerleaders performed to "Thriller" during halftime.
The CCC Band perfomed their annual lightshow with the field lights off during halftime Friday.
Aaron Kelly (#47) put pressure on Tulsa Memorial's QB during their first possession giving Shane Goossen a near interception. Collinsville had the ball first (near mid-field following Hunter West's kickoff return) but turned the ball over on downs without gaining a first down.
Memorial scored early in the 2nd quarter on this 52 yard run and had the extra point attempt bounce back off the upright to set the score at 0-6 with 11:46 remaining in the 2nd.
Patrick Moss (#65) stopped Memorial at the 15 yard line for a three yard loss after Collinsville had fumbled to Memorial at the 16 a few plays earlier. Memorial attempted (right photo) and missed a field goal with 4:37 left in the 1st half.
Shane Douglass (#9) hands off to Tyler Lowe (#22) (after Memorial's missed field goal) with blocking ahead by Colby Phillips (#52), Jacob Smith (#68) and Tanner Robb (#35).
Joe Keith (#28) and Issac Dyer (#23) defended on this incomplete Memorial pass just before Memorial kicked a successful field goal with 4:55 left in the first half for a 0-9 score.
Collinsville got their only first half score on this 77 yard TD pass from Shane Douglass (#9 above) to Joe Keith (#28 left photo). Head Coach Kevin Jones gives a fist pump as Keith leaves the Memorial defenders behind with 4:37 left in the half.
James Norris (#34) made his first 2010 varisty appearance and kicked the extra points after being slidelined with injury for all previous games this season. This kick got Collinsville within 2 at 7-9.
The CHS Cheerleaders did their best Michael Jackson impressions as they danced to "Thriller" during their final 2010 home halftime performance (barefoot on a chilly October evening).
The field lights were tuned off for the Collinsville band's final 2010 home halftime performance of their "Zen" marching program. Band members were adorned with their own individual lighting for the annual event.
The band seniors had some of their trophies won this season on display during the pre-game senior night activities.
The color guard girls cheered as the band seniors were announced during pre-game Friday.
