Early CHS Graduation and NWOSU Scholarship For Angelo Majike

Just a note on a "local boy done good." Our son, Angelo Majike, has been offered and accepted a full academic scholarship and $3000 yearly stipend to attend Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, Ok. What makes this special is that AJ just turned 17 on April 11th and completed his junior year at Collinsville High School.
AJ has a perfect 4.0 GPA. In fact, he has had a perfect, all "A" report card since 2nd grade. He has never had below a 4.0 GPA since he started in Collinsville Public schools in the 2nd grade. He has taken every AP and Honors course that Collinsville High School offers and has already amassed 8 college credits (Calculus 1 and 2.) This, coupled with his score of 31 on the ACT, qualified Angelo for Northwestern's Regional Baccalaureate Scholarship, which he was offered and proudly accepted. Angelo was also accepted into Northwestern's Honors Program where, each semester, he'll be taking one course on an Honors Level.
Collinsville High Principle, Jon Coleman, has agreed to graduate Angelo in June of 2010 so that AJ can take advantage of this academic challenge and opportunity. Also, it allows AJ time to complete his State required Senior level English course needed to graduate with a diploma.
Angelo's goals are to double major in Mathematics and either Pre-Medicine or Pre-Ostoepathy, join the ROTC at Northwestern and attend either the OU School of Medicine or OSU School of Osteopathy; serve 6 years in the United States Army as a physician, then go into private practice.
Angelo will also be suiting up as a walk-on football player for the NWOSU Rangers, joining his older brother Steve, who will be attending Northwestern OSU this fall on a football scholarship.

Thank you,
Steven J. Majike (5/17/2010)
