Tuesday's Sleet Tops Monday's Ice
Collinsville (& other area) schools were closed Tuesday with sleet Tuesday (Jan. 27, 2009) covering the sheet of ice from Monday afternoon & evening making travel treacherous.
Travel Monday on Collinsville's Main Steeet was not too difficult with a bit of sand mixed in with the ice & snow. There are still plenty of other inclined areas that are still nearly impossible to travel safely.
Previous Coverage: Collinsville Schools were also closed Dec. 15-16-17 with bad weather.
Dear Editor and Citizens of District 11:

On Monday, February 2, 2009, I return to the State Capitol to take part in the 52nd legislative session as a member of the House of Representatives. I will carry out the duties and responsibilities you have entrusted in me as your state representative.

The overriding issue for this legislative session will be the state budget. As you know we are in an economic downturn and Oklahoma has not been spared from this turmoil. Our challenge and top priority will be to appropriate your tax dollars wisely and effectively for the continued betterment of Oklahoma.

Please feel free to contact me regarding any legislative issue. Your thoughts and positions on legislation are important to me. I am always available to listen and act as an advocate on your behalf. I welcome your calls, e-mails, letters, and personal visits.

I thank you for your confidence and support by allowing me the privilege of representing you.

Sincerely,

Earl Sears, State Representative District 11
