Blood Drive For Two Year Old
Ted, This is Damon Herald a High School teacher/coach. My sister contacted me with a touching story about a friend who's son Dax is ill. He is 2 and has a very rare blood disorder that came about from a hospitalization with RSV. If he falls ill his red-blood cells are weak and that's when a transfusion or multiple transfusions are needed.
Their family is having a blood drive in Dax's name since this is the time of year little-ones get ill.

People need to call and schedule their donation time on Friday from 2 - 8:00 at night at a church in Owasso. The contact number is 272-2294, and they will fill you in on more details.

Having a young son myself really makes their story sink home. So if you could find the time to post the number with some of the details on your web page it would be greatly appreciated. People who donate should request their donation be credited to Dax.

Thanks again. -- D Herald 1/7/2009
