El Reno had defeated Coweta 12-3 in the first game in the A bracket so 1-loss Collinsville and 1-loss Coweta met below in the 4pm game
Coweta got a 2-out double (left photo) scoring a run (right photo) in the 1st inning and scored another on an error.
Lacie Cook throw to Jesse Henry at 1st for a Coweta out.
Kristina Shearer started off the Lady Card's 2nd inning with a single in the Coweta game. Brittany Scott reached on an error. Marysa Trost walked loading the bases. A Lacie Cook infield hit short-hopped by the Coweta 2nd baseman scored Shearer from 3rd to close to 1-2.
Linsey Curtis caught this Coweta pop foul behind 1st base to end the 2nd inning.
I left the Coweta softball game (at 4:30pm) after the 2nd inning to hopefully have plenty of time before the CHS football game in Collinsville at 7:30. Unfortunately in less than 30 minutes I was at the end of a line of crawling semis and cars on the turnpike back to Tulsa. I finally reached the first exit at Wellston at 5:45 and took Highway 66 to Stroud before getting back on the turnpike. There apparently was a wreck near Chandler causing the huge delay. I got to the CHS football game with just a minute or two to spare. -- Ted Wright
Based on the Tulsa World 10/17/2008 Coverage: Collinsville lost 3-5 in 10 innings to Coweta. Collinsville held Coweta scoreless in the 2nd-9th innings with Collinsville tying in the 7th. Also a Linsey Curtis homer in either the 7th or 10th?
