Miss Collinsville Pageant Rescheduled To Nov. 15th

Miss Collinsville Pageant Rescheduled: We have Kelsey Cartwright!!! Her event for the evening of Nov 15th has been postponed!! We need sponsors, ads and we are still looking for contestants. We are over $10,000 in tuition scholorships from various colleges around the state and at least $1000 cash scholorship. The winners will have all expenses paid to the state competitions this next June. Michelle Kostas will be doing our hair, makeup and wardrobe workshop on Nov. 1. She has been a friend of the state and local pageants for years. Her services are a huge opportunity for our girls. Mock interviews will be Nov. 8. We will learn our personality styles and how to communicate with others, how handshakes and eye contact work and have a panel of experts to perform a mock interview so that the girls feel comfortable with the real interview scheduled for Nov. 14. We have a stage coming this year so the girls will not be on the gym floor and Attitudes dance studio will have a group of girls performing for our entertainment, as well as Bailey Robinson- Miss Collinsville, Jennifay Nichols-Miss Outstanding Teen Collinsville, and Kelsey Cartwright- Miss Oklahoma. Door admission is $10.00 and the pageant starts at 7pm in the Collinsville High School Gym November 15th. We are still needing girls 13-24 to compete. Paperwork deadline is Oct. 31...come on girls, we need you!!!

More Kelsey Cartwright
Collinsville Visits

Dear Chamber Members,

Collinsville's Kelsey Cartwright is Miss Oklahoma 2008. She will be the Grand Marshall for our Christmas Parade on December 13, 2008. We are thrilled to have Kelsey in the Collinsville Parade as she stays very busy traveling throughout our state.

We not only want to be able to pay Kelsey's appearance fee but also help her with her goal to raise funds for the Children's Miracle Network which is a requirement for her to participate in the Miss America Contest.

Children's Miracle Network is the official national platform of the Miss America Organization. Each contestant has been asked to set a minimum goal of $500 for the National Pageant to benefit the Miss America Scholarship Fund and Children's Miracle Network in order to participate. We would like to make it possible for Kelsey to raise much more than $500 for this worthy cause. Many states already have thousands of dollars for their Miss America entry.

There are two ways members of the Collinsville Chamber of Commerce can assist Miss Oklahoma help the dreams of millions of children come true who need the life-saving care and specialized services that Children's Miracle Network hospitals provide:

1.Send a donation to Collinsville Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 245,Collinsville, OK 74021 and we will put the funds together to pay the appearance fee and present a one time gift to Kelsey.
Make the checks payable to Collinsville Chamber and be sure to put Kelsey Cartwright in the memo line of your check.

2. Bring lots of family and friends to the fundraiser on November 2, 2008 on the City Plaza from 2:00-4:00. Kelsey will be there to sign autographs and meet with her hometown community.
They plan to have license tags to sell:
Collinsville, Oklahoma, Home of Kelsey Cartwright, 2008 ... I am not sure that is the exact wording.

We are all very proud of this young lady.
What a great experience this is for Kelsey and her family....and for Collinsville, Oklahoma
