Dalton Salisbury (#5) scored on this 17 yard run to cap Collinsville's opening drive in the 2nd half. The drive started at the Cards' 35 and completed at 8:34 in the 3rd quarter. Jared Billup's pass to Thomas Isam was incomplete on the extra point attempt for an 18-0 score.
Joe Keith (#28) stopped Jay's punt returner in his tracks with a big hit in the 3rd quarter.
Jay's punter pulled off a remarkable play after a 2nd straight snap sailed over his head. He chased this one down and make a running punt from inside his 5 yard line all the way down to Collinsville's 26 at 2:17 in the 3rd quarter.
Dalton Salisbury (#5) made the stop on this Jay keeper in the 4th quarter.
Kyle Rush (#32) made several good gains all evening with this 4th quarter carry as an example.
In a act of sportsmanship Collinsville turned down an attempt to score another touchdown from the 1 yard line and about 20 seconds left as they walked to the sidelines and let the clock run out with the game already decided.
Note: I have fewer and less quality photos for this game as I barely arrived for kickoff having been stuck in a huge traffic jam on the turnpike having left after the 2nd inning of the 2nd State Softball game 3 hours before kickoff. I forgot to switch off the daytime shutter setting and had very little battery left. -- Ted --- check back for the softball pages later (2am Friday)
