Boomer & Penny To WWAH
We are taking in, Boomer, a beautiful St Bernard, who cannot stay in his home anymore. Boomer likes to roam and the neighbor says he is just waiting for this friendly guy to get in the street one more time. Boomer does like to explore the area so think about that when deciding if you could foster him or better yet, adopt him. He has been neutered, has all his shots and is so loved by his owner that she is giving him up in fear of the neighbor following through on his threat.

Boomer will be arriving at WWAH today, Saturday May 10. His owner is paying all his expenses until we find a home for him.

We also know about another need in our community. Penny, a 6 year old copper tabby, is in need of a home. Her owner passed away last week and the son's family has cat allergies so cannot keep her. Penny has been declawed and is up to date on all her shots. She will stay with the son until we have space for her or until someone thinks she would be the perfect cat for their family.

Happy Mother's Day to all,
Susan Babbitt (5/10/2008)
"Laps For Logan" At Middle School Friday
Collinsville Middle School students got lots of exercise Friday May 9th while raising funds for on going medical expenses for their classmate Logan Shaw. Logan was seriously injured in a go-cart / auto collision August 2007. The students walked laps, had races and held contests outdoors on Center Street next to the school (Previous Coverage).
The Collinsville Girls Softball Association also held a Softball tournament this weekend, to help raise money for Logan. 6U & 8U age groups (16 teams all together) played games Friday (May 9th) & Saturday (May 10th) according to Darenda Chester.
