Pennies for Puppies - Coins for Cats
Megan Jones & Tara Inbody
The CIA is holding their annual Pennies for Puppies-Coins for Cats drive at CHS. Students are encouraged to drop their loose change into a container for their favorite animal. The drive will last three weeks with the proceeds being donated to the Ward-Wiseman Animal Shelter.
Thanks, Cory A. Slagle, CHS Principal (4/1/2008)
Alternative Prom Parade?
With the April 12th CHS prom out-of-town this year, I had been trying to think of some in-town alternative for any students wanting a pre-prom photo. About the same time, I discovered that I would soon have new neighbors at 1108 W. Main with a photo studio setting up for business by mid-April in the historic Marmont Building. The floor was being cleaned and sealed Tuesday so the lights and backdrops could be set up later. Don't have final details (or prices) yet, but wanted students/parents to consider supporting this new Collinsville business before heading to Sperry next Saturday April 12. -- Ted Wright
Note: I now have less than a month to finish the 140+ individual 2008 CHS graduate pages that will go online May 1st. I have had very low student participation this year providing their own photos for these pages. I will do the best I can with photos I have now or will take in the end of school flurry, but you have the option to submit your own favorite photos. These can be you and your best friend, pet, car, job, ... ??? ... with creativity encouraged. -- email: wrightted@aol.com
