14 & Under Oklahoma Legends
Ted,
My daughter and 2 other Collinsville girls play on the Oklahoma Legends 14 & Under team. The other girls are from Broken Arrow, Tulsa and Porter. They played in a tournament in Broken Arrow this weekend and came in 2nd. They qualify to go to Nationals in July. We are very proud of all of the girls. The girls from Collinsville are Emily Varner (3rd base), Kassidy (Butch) Murphy (center field), and Kristina (Mighty Mouse) Shearer (catcher and short stop).

Proud Mom,
Carolyn Jensen (May 21, 2007)

I suspect the new road between the ECC and Sportsplex (near Herald Elementary) is even more complete now than in this photo I took last week when it appeared about half paved. -- Ted -- (Previous Coverage)
The CHS track now has it's final top (red) sealing coat. The lane markings have not yet been painted.

"Transmitting Meters" -- These demo water and electric meters were shown to the Collinsville City Commission Monday night by Community Communications Authority (CCA). They could provide automated meter readings transmitted back to city hall multiple times daily. This would be part of a larger wireless broadband system including internet and phone service. The city should receive an assessment from CCA in about a week. The city is also expecting a proposal from Honeywell that would include automated meter reading in conjuction with an overall energy saving partnership plan with the city.
