These five seniors ended their CHS volleyball careers at the State Tournamant recently L-R: Kerry Schultheiss, Amy Schultheiss, Emily Richardson, Kylie Pelizzoni and Toni Slagle. Coach Smalyago indicated they were a big part of the 83-28 CHS varsity record the past 3 seasons. The Lady Cards were 21-12 this season with a 4th place finish in 5A.
CHS head volleyball coach Art Smalygo had help with his speech from his young son (at his feet) and background vocals by all the coaches' kids. The coaches (including Ryan Christian) said they were especially proud of the girls' effort at the state tournament where "they were just a step away" from getting into the finals and "gave their all". The girl's were also recognized for their academic achievements with a team GPA of 3.57.
The volleyball parents supplied the feast for the players and boosters.
