Class of 1956 Held Their 50th Anniversary Friday All 1950's Classes Met Saturday
The 1956 Collinsville graduating class and earlier classmates met at the CHS Commons Friday June 9th, 2006 and celebrated a 50 year milestone since their days at the old Central High School.

Gertrude Davis and Thelma Bryson were two of the three attending former teachers honored Saturday (along with Frieda Disch).

The Nifty Fifties organization held their annual reunion Saturday evening June 10th, 2006 at the new middle school. A few of the Collinsville alumni took a bus tour of Collinsville while the Hog's 'N' Hot Rods activities were being held downtown. The two photos above show the former students entering this new building (most for the first time since it was opened last August 2005) and then a reception in the new library portion of the building. The Nifty Fifties then moved to the commons for a banquet and a program honoring teachers, the U.S. military and the class of 1956.

Rebyl Richardson, Jody Coulter and Wille Horn were the 2006 Nifty Fifties scholarship winners and were also honored at the reunion Saturday.
Some of the honored guests at the Nifty Fifties reunion included: SSgt Jeff Jones & wife Lisa (Army National Guard), Joy Humble, TSgt Kevin Lutz & wife Deb (Active Air National Guard), Don and Elinor Lenaburg, Frieda and Lyle Disch, Eva Jo Sheehan, and Thelma Bryson
Bob Humble, Josh Buchfink and Kali York provided musical entertainment.
The slide presentation by 1956 graduate Raymond French included a list of their teachers from the 1st - 12th grade. The high school teachers and custodians are shown above. The presentation also honored the military and the class of 1956.
