Collinsville Beat Mannford 27-14 At Mannford Friday
This play was early in the first quarter and shows the offensive line charge just as quarterback Tyler Chronister got the ball from the center ... as well as the bench and the folks who traveled from Collinsville to Mannford to see the Cards get off to a great start with a road win.
I don't know if there was a facilities problem or the Collinsville coaches just wanted some fresh air, but it was unusual to see the team during pre-game and halftime on the hillside in the endzone at Mannford. I suspect it was one of the few times the players had seen the bands march at halftime.
Nick Rabbit
Nick Rabbit (#22) broke free for a 64 yard TD run with 3:06 left in the first half to spot the Cards to a 21-0 halftime score.
Lenard Creek (#21) scored Collinsville's final touchdown at 3:04 in the 3rd quarter with a series of carries from Mannford's 42 yard line with the last carry for 1 yard.
The first three Cardinal point-after-touchdown kicks were successful but the 4th one was wide (above) .
QB Tyler Chronister holds the ball out for the running back to take as Collinsville stayed on the ground for the majority of the game.
Congratulations Cardinals!
Mannford scored on their first possion after Collinsville was up 27-0 (at 1:43 in 3rd quarter) and again in the final half minute of the game.
