Collinsville Starts Season With 2 Wins
Cards Got Burned
Just Before Halftime
But Started 2nd Half Well
Collinsville was celebrating their 17-0 lead with less than a minute left before halftime for these two Tulsa TV news cameramen.
From their own 35 yard line Catoosa ran the ball twice (up to the 48 yard line) before completing this pass just before halftime. The Collinsville defender (above) went for the interception and missed. Lenard Creek saved the touchdown but Catoosa had the ball at the 4 yard line and 1.4 seconds left. They scored on the next play (on a run up the middle) as time ran out and went to the locker room only down 17-7.
"Ballerina" Kacy Keith emerged from the music box to begin the Crimson Cadet Band's haltime show.

Collinsville regained some momentum to open the second half. The Cards held Catoosa on their initial 2nd half possession and with a short punt took over on Catoosa's 49 yard line. Two Cardinal first downs required measurements before Nick Rabbit (#22) burst the final 28 yards on the run above. The extra point attempt was muffed and Collinsville was up 23-7 at the 7:20 mark of the 3rd quarter with their final points of the evening.
