Engineer Late Scoring Drive
Collinsville's
final drive of the game started with Lenard Creek taking an Oologah kickoff
and returing it to the 28 (left photo). Adam Thomas took a Tyler Chronister
pass to the 40 yard line (above).
Following
pass catches by Garrett Thurman (to Collinsville's 46) and Lenard Creek (to
Oologah's 35), Aaron Watts carried the football twice reaching the Oologah 23
yard line.
Tyler
Chronister kept the ball from the 23 to the 4 yard line with 17.7 seconds left
and then passed to David Chester for the final 4 yards below.
The
attempted two-point conversion failed with the pass hitting the grass just short
of the goal as David Chester tried to make the catch from the end zone. Collinsville
attempted an onside kick but Oologah recovered with 6.4 seconds left in the
game.
