Cards Lose to Oologah 9-29
Cards Trailed 3-14 at Half
Slow Start
Collinsville's first possession got things started in the wrong direction with a holding penalty followed by an interception. Collinsville's receiver slipped as the pass arrived and Oologah's defender ran it back from the 40 to the 6 yard line. Oologah scored 3 plays later from the 1/2 yard line. Nick Rabbit was injured at some point in that sequence of plays. Oologah had a 0-7 lead at 9:01 in the first quarter.
Fast Finish
Lenard Creek took the kickoff after Oologah's last score and ran it out the Collinsville 28 yard line to start the Cardinal's final possession with less than 2 1/2 minutes in the game and trailing 3-27. Collinsville drove down and scored with 6.9 seconds left in the game with David Chester catching a 4 yard TD pass (behind the official above) on the 9th play of the hurry-up drive.
