First graders from
Wilson Elementary learned some Cherokee heritage from Danny Stanley (including
a few Cherokee words) Tuesday morning. They then walked to the Victory
Cemetery Tuesday afternoon and learned more about this early day Collinsville
burial place. (Previous
Coverage) The Cherokee Nation, Collinsville Downtown Inc., the Collinsville Schools and other community organizations have teamed to restore and maintain the cemetery. |
Collinsville 4-H Club members toured the Newspaper Museum In Collinsville Tuesday afternoon. They learned a bit about how Collinsville newspapers were printed in the past century.
