Ted Wright Note: Although the Collinsville Tri-County Fair is 60 years old, Collinsville had many fairs before that event was organized with an official board. There were many fairs reported in the Collinsville newspapers in the years before 1946. The fair associated with the October 1907 Pow Wow is a prime example. In 1945 there was no fair due to shortages caused by World War II.

Preliminary Information on Founder's Day (from the Fair Book):
Sponsored by the Collinsville Chamber of Commerce ...Main Street will be closed from 11th to 7th streets much of the day ... activities include:
classic car exhibit, arts and crafts / sidewalk sales, horseshoe pitching contests, kids' zone (giant slide, face painting, dunk tank, etc...), entertainmemt from 9:30-4pm, and a barn dance. Food vendors will be here also.
