The
registration starts at 6:30pm not 7:30 and the show will then start
at 7 not at 8 (Thursday Aug. 18th). There are 2 different times for
the show listed in the fair book, but to not keep the kids out too late
on a school night the earlier time will be used. |

Volunteer Pot Luck Lunch and Recruitment Information
|
Monday, September 12th 10:00-2:00 we will have a volunteer gathering at the library. Bring a pot luck dish to share for lunch. Coffee will be provided. Besides planning for the upcoming year we will straighten shelves and do a little fall cleaning.
This would also be a great time to look into our volunteer program to see if is something you would want to do on a regular basis. Volunteers are scheduled for a 3 hour shift once a week. It is a chance to get to know your library up close and personal, meet new people, be first on the list to check out the new books, and be an important part of our library program.
We could not do all we do without our regular volunteers. The beauty of volunteering is you can take vacations, opt not to travel in the snow, opt not to travel in the heat, and opt to stay home on your day if the mood strikes you. Of course, I will dock your pay but nothing from nothing is nothing!
So join us for good food, lots of laughs and some information on our volunteer program at your Collinsville Library. For more information call Susan Babbitt @ 596-2840. |

Crimson Cadet Band Boosters
|
Ted, If possible, I'd like to get something on cvilleok about the Band Boosters organizion. As the club's PR officer, I want to use every available avenue to promote the organization, and your website, as far as I'm concerned, is about the most informative! Anyway.... The Collinsville Crimson Cadet Band Boosters meet the second Tuesday of every month. The next meeting is scheduled for September 13. As you know, the Band Boosters organization is made up of parents, grandparents, and others who support the band program. The Booster Club is instrumental in designing and building field props for the band's show, volunteering to work in the concession stand at home football games, helping at contests, and more. All band and band student supporters are welcome and encouraged to join the Band Booster club. There is no cost to join, however, to become a member with voting priviledges costs $5 per person. There will be a membership sign-up booth at the Band Preview Night on August 30th, or potential members can contact Booster president Tim Nelson @ 371-2298. Thanks for your assistance, Elizabeth Sullivan |
