Previous Coverage
Collinsville Softball Festival
(Here Friday & Saturday)
Collinsville's Rebyl Richardson (#20) was close to scoring Collinsville's 4th run but was tagged out to end the 3rd inning here Tursday against Oologah. Coach Stan Irvin challenged if the plate was legally blocked as the catcher didn't have the ball and tag Rebyl until after the initial collision at the plate. I had to leave at that point for the 60th Anniversary Celebration at the Fair, but suspect Stan lost the arugment. -- Ted
Lady Cards pitcher Kelli Dunagan (#11) puts her whole body into the pitch towards an Oologah batter Aug. 18th. Danielle Kern (#4) is ready on 3rd base and Toni Slagle watches from the temporary 3rd base bleachers.
Taylor Whisenhunt (#15) lined out to Oologah's 3rd baseman in the Cards 1st at bat. The bat is still in the air and the ball is in front of the 3rd baseman's face.
Danielle Kern (#4) approaches 1st base (left) as Lindsay Dawson (#49) heads for home with Collinsville's first run in the 2nd inning against Oologah. In the photo above Danielle is headed to 2nd and Abby Miller (#1 running for Amanda Bolien) heads to 3rd base.
Taylor Whisenhunt prepares to take off from 1st base in the second inning after her 2 run RBI single put Collinsville up 3-0.
This view shows Kelli a bit earlier in her windup motion.
The stands were full here Thursday during the game with rival Oologah. 16 more games will be played here Friday & Saturday during the Collinsville Softball Festival on the two softball fields.
