The Eastside Veteriniary Hospital doctors and staff held a ribbon cutting (with the help of the Collinsville Chamber of Commerce) Thursday March 31st. They also invite you to their open house April 9th between noon and 3pm to show off their remodeled facility on East Main near Highway 169 and 146th St. North.
I left a meeting with current leaders (ODOT and other officials at right) to show these potential future leaders a bit of Collinsville and newspaper history. They are a group of sixth graders taught by Mrs. Rowden at Collinsville Middle School. Those adding their names to the "Newspaper Museum In Collinsville" guest book today were: Landon Whaley, Luke Catlett, Casey Collins, Paisley Eberle and Zach Stankeicicz.

Gary Ridley
Mayor Stan Sallee (and American Bank of Oklahoma) hosted another set of dignitaries to help keep Collinsville on their mind for transportation funding and projects. State Senator Randy Brogdon and State Representative Mike Wilt (above) view Collinsville's plans. Gary Ridley, ODOT Director (left), also addressed the group and the sad shape of Oklahoma bridges was one of the topics. Also in attendance were Wilbert Collins (Tulsa Co. Commissioner), Gary Evans (ODOT Div. 8 Engr.), Jerry Lasker (INCOG) and Blu Hulsey representing US Senator Inhofe. (Previous Coverage)
March 31 email from Sue McClintock asking for your support:
I'm a local woman participating in the breast cancer 3 day event this June in Dallas. It's a 3 day/60 mile walk to raise funds for research benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation. I'm one of only four women in / around the Tulsa area taking part in this. I'm required to raise a minimum of $2100 as part of my participation. I've had bake sales as well as a table at the Tulsa Womens Expo in February plus many other fund raising events. I was wondering if there was some way to let people know I have some breast cancer awareness items. I'm selling (key chains, magnets, window decals, silicone bracelets, earrings) all proceeds go to the breast cancer 3 day event. You can go to www.the3day.org to learn more or please contact me at dmcsmc1@aol.com or cell 810-8848 . If you go directly to the 3 day site, click on make a donation ... put in my name Sue McClintock and you will be directed to my fund raising site.
The 8th Annual Owasso/Collinsville Relay For Life is scheduled for May 20-21, 2005 at Ator Field in Owasso. Funds will be raised for the American Cancer Society.
