CHS Boys Tennis At Pryor Tournament
Thursday (3/24/16)

Congratulations to William Reynolds and Jeremy Arnold

William placed 1st in the 1-singles division at the Pryor Tournament.

Jeremy also placed 1st in the 2-singles division.

There was high drama in Jeremy's finals match against Tahlequah. Jeremy lost to Tahlequah's Brandon Berry in straight sets (0-6,2-6) in a previous meeting this season. Berry raced out to a 3-0 lead in the first set. Jeremy fought hard, but dropped the set 4-6. However, Jeremy came storming back in the second set. He eventually clenched the second set with a powerful baseline forehand. One Tahlequah fan was overheard saying, "I guess it's better to be lucky than good". Jeremy remained poised. He thought to himself, "if you think it was luck, then stick around for the tiebreaker". No luck was needed. Jeremy closed the door on Berry with a deep forehand into the corner. The tiebreaker ended with Jeremy on top 12-10. Go Cards,

Coach Robert Sparks
