5A Volleyball Regional
Collinsville Season Ended In
Tie Breaker 5th Game
At Carl Albert Regional
From The Collinsville Times Star Facebook --
Lady Cardinal varsity volleyball team was knocked out of any chance to make it to the state tournament Tuesday evening in the opening round of regionals held in Oklahoma City at Carl Albert High School. The host squad won in five games losing to Collinsville in the first and fourth games 25-16 and 25-22. CA won the second and third games 26-24 and 25-17 before winning the tie-breaker game, the fifth, 17-15. And as rough a time as the Lady Cards had during the contest, they still had a chance to win in the fifth with a 13 to 9 lead before giving up 4 straight points and eventually the loss. The good news is, we all got home early and the better news is, the Lady Cardinals never gave up. More in next week's (10-15) Times Star along with photos from the contest. -- 10/7/2015
